Hi, I’m Sparkle, the hygienist here at International Center of Dental Excellence. I’ve been a hygienist here for four years. I love working here.
I love how we are able to connect the oral cavity to the entire body. Bridging the gap here makes it a lot easier because in mainstream dentistry it’s kind of divided and that bridge is not made so it’s just kind of preventative and restorative but there’s no real connection to the body and how everything connects. So I love it here.
Dr. Senchon’s philosophy is pretty amazing because she definitely practices what she preaches so it allows us to not just implement things here but at home. Several things as far as of course connecting the oral cavity to the mouth. What we put in our mouth is going to affect the entire body and believing in what we do knowing that we can actually cure several things or prevent several things in the mouth just by being a little more health conscious.
In my side because I’m the hygienist, I love it because there’s a component of instant gratification that I can actually see. For instance, a deep cleaning. A patient comes in, they have a lot of periodontal pockets, they have a lot of infection.
I’m able to remove that bacteria and that infection in their mouth within a matter of two hours. Following that, I can see the gum is much better. There’s less bleeding when they come in for their 21-day post-op.
We’re able to see not just fresh breath but that their gums are in a better condition. Oftentimes they’re not as foggy. A lot of our patients have like brain fog.
They’re not able to really concentrate very well. A lot of them feel fatigued. They feel like they don’t have enough energy and when they come back they feel so much better just simply from detoxifying the gums from even just a deeper cleaning.
Not to mention the bacteria that causes the periodontal disease filters into the bloodstream and it can cause heart attack, it can cause stroke, pancreatic cancer. All of these things we’re preventing by just having your cleanings with the hygienist.

Each of our services is designed with a biological holistic philosophy in mind. This means you can expect dental care that’s as good for your body as it is for your teeth.
Our preventive services include:
- Dental Exams – Our comprehensive exams go beyond looking at your teeth and gums. Your dental team takes a biological holistic approach to assess your overall oral health. We use DIAGNOdent laser for cavity detection and digital X-rays to capture information about your underlying mouth structure.
- Dental Cleanings – Your hygienist will perform gentle and thorough cleanings using natural-based materials and high-tech cleaning equipment. Our team will focus on removing harmful bacteria that puts your mouth – and your overall health – at risk.
- Gum Disease Treatment – If you show signs of disease, your dentist can perform a variety of procedures to restore your gum health. Your treatment plan may include a deep cleaning procedure or laser treatments.
- Dry Mouth Solutions – Dry mouth can be a sign of an underlying issue. Your dentist will determine the root cause of your dry mouth. She may recommend products and lifestyle adjustments you can make at home.
- Bad Breath Treatment – Bad breath often indicates an infection. Your dentist will treat diseased teeth or gum tissue. She may combine treatment with personalized oral hygiene tips to improve your at-home routine.
- Mouthguards – If you grind your teeth or play sports, your dentist can fit you for a customized mouthguard. It will protect your mouth from injury and help you avoid long-term damage. These mouthguards last longer than store-bought options.

General dentistry includes many services, such as exams and cleanings, that prevent dental problems from ever happening. Our team will help you avoid dental decay, gum disease, and even sports-related mouth injuries. It also addresses a wide range of repair and enhancement. As a bonus, our general dental care helps keep your mouth looking and feeling great!
Nutritious foods that benefit your overall health also help you maintain healthy teeth. Adding fresh fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and calcium-rich foods like cheese into your diet is a good start. Certain fruits and vegetables, with their high water and fiber content, function as a natural toothbrush and remove plaque from your teeth. Nuts make an excellent snack option as they contain minerals that strengthen tooth enamel, making it less vulnerable to cavities.
We may recommend dental X-rays to ensure comprehensive oral care. With advancements in technology, digital X-rays are now widely used, offering enhanced safety. They use significantly less radiation compared to traditional X-rays, making them a safer option. Digital X-rays provide detailed images for accurate diagnoses, helping us identify potential issues early on.
