I love coming here because Dr. Cintron, first of all, is at the, I feel, the top of her field. I researched biological dentists. I’m so very thankful, even though I live an hour away, that it’s an hour drive and not a plane ride.
The staff is amazing. I always feel very comfortable here, very welcomed, and that says a lot for a dentist office because, as most people don’t to go to dentists, so they make it not so scary.

I was having a lot of issues that the traditional doctors couldn’t, I call them traditional doctors, primary care physicians. I have a great one, she’s wonderful. They did all of these scans, they couldn’t figure out what was going on.
Then I started researching functioning medicine doctors, and I interviewed three and I chose one. And I really enjoyed working with her because she had a whole protocol and education part of her treatment plan. So it wasn’t like she took my blood work and said, okay, these are your nutraceuticals, and you need to do this.
She actually has a lot of education in her program. So long story short, I was under her care for a couple years. And we realized that there were still some things like going on.
She kept asking me, are you sure you don’t have mercury? And there’s an infection in your body that we’ve done all the protocols and it’s not correcting it. So we need to look into other things. And then I was actually doing some intermittent fasting and I was watching another functioning medicine doctor on YouTube and he was interviewing and doing a whole segment about this biological dentistry and this one dentist up in New York.
And then that’s how I came to to find out about Dr. Cintron. I came here, they did the exam. And there was a lot of serious stuff going on.
It stemmed from a car accident that I had when I was 18 years old. And I broke my jaw, I broke a couple teeth off. So I had crowns and I root canals and they just wreaked havoc on my health all of these years.
Since I was 18, I was basically going through this. It was a tough decision because it’s just a lot and you don’t know. You’re like, oh, what is everything going to look like afterwards? I did it and it’s been a process and she’s very patient because I didn’t want to get into a bunch of debt.
So I saved money and I would do we did the surgical health stuff first. And then once I had that paid off, then we started moving into the cosmetic side of it. I feel so much better.
My blood work is so much better. A lot of the organs that were showing up as having problems in my blood work were connected to those teeth that needed to come out. Those root canals that needed to come out that were abscessed and infected.
But like I said, I had no pain. So whenever I try to explain this to people, they are like, well, I’m not in pain. And I’m like, but that doesn’t mean it’s not causing those other issues in your life.
So I definitely believe that it has saved my life.

Oh my god, I love her. I love her so much. The love that she radiates and the care that she radiates is amazing.
You know that you’re with someone who really cares about you as a person, not just as a patient. And that’s something that drew me to her because that’s what I wanted. And also the spiritual side, which is something that she promotes in her office, which is something that is also part of the whole human being.
And so that’s what attracted me to her and to being a patient of hers.

So it has impacted me in a lot of ways. First of all, how I take care of my teeth, the hygiene that takes place at home. I floss now more often than I did before.
I use the Waterpik more often. I have my electric toothbrush. I rinse with salt water.
I’m constantly aware of what I’m putting into my mouth. I chew differently, I chew more slowly. It’s just affected my whole, me plus my whole family, because I am sharing all of this information with my sons and my husband.
And I want them to understand how important dental care is and dental hygiene. In that sense, it’s already made a big impact. And I just feel better about myself because I’m taking care of myself.
And I realized that I feel so much better physically. Physically, it has inspired me to take care, more care of myself.

Yolanda to me is simply irresistible in every way. Most of all, she saved my life. She really did because I had an infection in my mouth that was going to my brain.
Fortunately, she quitted immediately and she worked on me. Everything in this office just is just an extension of her in every way, whether it be the people who work here because they’re all due diligence. They make certain you are taken care of.
They’re amiable. They’re extensive. They put themselves out for you in every way.
Most of all, she is such a perfectionist and she does such wonderful work. She had to take everything out of my mouth and do my mouth all over again. She really makes you look fabulous.
And what she did to my husband, he wanted to go someplace else. You go to your laptop. He used to have like a little gulp fatigue and he never opened his mouth.
Now, can’t shut him up.

I had, eminently, an infection in my mouth. It was painful and annoying and it smelled to me and everything else. And so, I was very upset with the doctor, what’s going to the dentist I was going to.
And I came into the gym one morning and Jeff Middleton was there. And I said, Jeff, I know you said you have a new dentist who you really, you know, feel very good about. I said, I’ve got to change, I’ve got to get somebody.
And so he gave me a name, I called it, and they put me right away. I came in that morning, she says, I want you here 9 o’clock tomorrow morning, plan to spend the day. And from that day forward, it was probably a six-month vigil until we got, she had to take most everything out of my mouth.
Old jackets, old things that were left in my mouth. I know she knows the right things to do because she’s always on top of everything. She knows, and every kind of medication, if you want to know anything, she is very much aware.
She’s really one of these people who does her homework in every single direction. I just have that feeling that she’s the most trustworthy and trusting and friendly and delicious people I know. They are probably the most concerned about your comfort, about how you feel, all the positioning of the chairs and putting on whatever they have to put on you.
They are so, that we do diligent works in this office very well because every single one of them are. They do the job they’re supposed to do. They follow through, they make sure you’re in a comfort zone at all times.
They’ll stop a few times and even ask you, you know, is everything okay? Because I’m a quiet patient, I don’t, you know, make a lot of noise. And I said, yeah, I’m fine. I couldn’t even think of going anyplace else.
And that’s why when he found out he needed his teeth done, I said, hold up, you’re going there. Because whatever it is, he will be as impressed as I am. And I’m sure I’m going to let you know that he was as impressed as I am.
Number one, I am very careful about it. I have two electric toothbrushes and two different Waterpiks. And then sometimes I use just a regular toothbrush if I feel.
And I use those little clips that you can stick between your teeth because I have trouble flossing because I have so many jackets on and everything. And I can take care of it. I mastered it.
I do it in the morning. I do it at night. I do it after I eat each time.
It’s been over 10 years. Thank you, God. Everything is in good shape.

She did a massive operation on my teeth in 2018. I was in the chair for nine hours. And then Joey, one of her assistants, helped my wife take me home.
And the next day, I got up like it was nothing happened. There was no swelling, no pain. I was just amazed.
And they called me several times throughout the day and the following days to see how I was. And there was no after effects. And what she did was remove all the mercury from my mouth, sewed all my teeth down, and all my teeth were covered with crowns.
And to this day, my mouth has been perfect.

Pages of information on how to take care of your teeth, how to brush your teeth, how to do exercises, how to use the tongue scraper, which I was never familiar with. I didn’t even know what a tongue scraper was. And since that time, my oral hygiene every day, or two or three times a day, I’ve always had in the back of my mind what I was taught here.
And I continue it to this day. And when I come from my checkups, most of the ratings on my teeth are two and below three. So I’m very satisfied with the indoctrination that I had in taking care of my teeth.

I work in a primary care office. And if you’re in the room too long, they start knocking on the door, you gotta move quickly. And if you don’t, you can be replaced by somebody who will.
So like my buddy’s board certified internal medicine. Brilliant. He doesn’t have any time to bring that to bear.
And that’s healthcare by and large. So basically you jump in the trenches with these people. You just take as much time as it needs and you need to check this and we check that.
And I can’t tell you how many times we’ve sent them here. Dr. Cintron will work them up and find, well, infection and all kinds of stuff going on. You can do lab work on chemistry.
They can check your chemistries. And a lot of this stuff doesn’t make sense, but like, for example, in the mouth, that driving infection that was apparently able to be overlooked or… And there’s other metals and things that people get put in people’s mouths that cause the immune system to just react in a way to where it’s just stuck in a rev limiter, just doesn’t know what to do. And because these are unnatural products in our bodies straight, you know, the circulating nervous system doesn’t know how to, that’s what they call it.
Part of the immune system is the circulating nervous system. Doesn’t know how to react to some of this stuff. And you just got to get it out of the mouth.
One of the other doctors said, you’re codependent with the whole world. I’m like, because when somebody drops, comes in and they’re suffering like I was, you get in the trenches with them and you got to figure it out. And anybody that can help you get back out of that trench, like Dr. Cintron, they’re, they saved me.
So that’s what I like about this place.

I actually wanted to look into if I had what’s called a cavitation. So that’s when your wisdom tooth removal spots don’t heal correctly. I was dealing with some autoimmune and body issues and a lot of the practitioners I was working with said to look at my mouth and just make sure that there wasn’t anything going on there because I had a traumatic wisdom tooth extraction.
I wasn’t lucky enough to have it done by Dr. Cintron and so I was wondering if that was a problem that was occurring in my body and Dr. Cintron office has what’s called a cone beam scan and that’s really the only way you can identify if there’s a cavitation which is basically a bone that didn’t heal correctly underneath your gum. So the gum heals and then the bone doesn’t heal as fast as the gum which can trap bacteria and then that bacteria can leach into your body and cause a lot of illness. But you have to have someone who thinks about the whole body and somebody who understands the impact of that possible infection on your full body which I knew Dr. Cintron would and we actually set up a cone beam scan and I was lucky that I did not have any cavitations but she identified other areas of inflammation in my mouth and other areas of decay in my mouth that she thought might be contributing to systematic inflammation basically and so I started a treatment plan to work for with her on that.
So Dr. Cintron started out with a very deep cleaning because I haven’t I hadn’t had a cleaning in a while so she wanted to do what I think was called a debridement where you’re getting a very deep deep cleaning and I tell you my teeth never shine brighter after that and then she wanted to address some areas of decay in my mouth and do a couple onlays and inlays to get rid of that decay. She got blood work done for me so that I could we could identify all of the materials that would be biologically harmonious to my body to implant them into my body. We worked on my teeth grinding so we worked a little bit on that and just regular cleanings.
My teeth do feel a lot better. I do feel a lot less worried about my teeth because right when you’re not going to the dentist often or you don’t feel like you have a team you can trust to look after your teeth that can be stressful right as you get older you have to find people that can know that care about you like you know that care about you so I feel a lot better knowing that I have a dental office I can go to to take care of my body like I just got another cone beam scan just to check up on how I’m doing now that I have some other implants and things going on but that’s something she would never question you know whatever I want to do she’s supportive of that in my health journey.

Which is actually like the laser they use here is one of the only lasers that can reverse gingivitis. If you go to a periodontist most of the time they do a lot of management for a periodontal disease or they’ll do like a surgery where they you know cut your gums, flap your gums, and then fix your gums that way. My mother-in-law actually I think had that done but for him he had some deep pockets and some gingivitis and they use a laser instead underneath the gum line which prevents the bacteria that’s causing the gingivitis from continuing to live I guess.
I guess it kills that bacteria and it allows the gum to heal and his pockets you know when they check your gums and if there’s a separation from the tooth his pockets are much much better now like all within normal limits whereas before he had very large deep pockets and that’s something they really care about here because there is some people who believe if you have leaky gums you have a leaky gut and there’s a gut-gum type connection. That’s more of like the holistic approach Dr. Cintron might take with that but regardless you shouldn’t have your gums leaking right you shouldn’t have periodontal disease in general it’s just she’s going to think about wow how is this impacting the whole body right. For him when we found out that he had some early on periodontal disease we were really shocked because he’s young and then she said you know we invest in things that other offices wouldn’t invest in and I think that’s the perk of Dr. Cintron is that when you come here you know you’re going to get like newer things better things you might have to pay a little bit more but the longevity of not having to cut your gums and do maybe a really invasive procedure because you were able to get the preventative care and that was more beneficial right so that’s like another huge reason why we really like this office because they have solutions other doctors might not have.

Well, look at these people. They’re all beautiful, happy, friendly people. I say great, always smiling, always greet you, you know.
Never a bad thing to say. Very friendly, very professional, very kind, you know. Great interaction with everybody here.
Never had an issue with anyone here. Just love coming here. And they love me because I bring them food.
Well, they’re most, they’re health-oriented here, you know. Call us weekly. I mean, they did everything.
Chemical intervention, you know, you had the choice whether to go the natural or the, you know, the antibiotic way. But we had to do both depending on the situation. It’s very easy to get along with.
I think great attitude here. Great professionalism. Just a great way to do business.

Everybody makes me feel like I’m important and that’s nice to feel because there’s a lot that can happen with your mouth and sometimes I’ve had pain or discomfort. I know what it’s like to have a tooth pulled and when you have pain in the future or after a bad dental experience it’s nice when somebody can calm you down and let you know that everything’s going to be fine and that you’re going to find the best solution for your care that is a really safe solution for your dental needs. I’ve had other dental experiences which is the reason I became a patient here where things went really bad for a very long time unresolved and in my past that led unfortunately to a root canal.
After I started getting into functional medicine and I learned about the harms of a root canal I wanted to find a good biological dentist to help me and because I had lived so much horror with my dental past experience it was important for me to find a good match. So I did a thorough search and eventually I found Dr. Yolanda Cintron and I made my first appointment and I basically said I have a root canal and I want it out and she laughed at me. She’s like okay that’s typically not something that people request.
I usually have to convince people about the harms of a root canal and I explained to her my medical background and how much research I had done and she did it for me and not only was it opposite of my previous dental experiences it was amazing. My heal time was record timing. I had no pain no discomfort and we actually set my tooth off for a biopsy.
My biopsy showed that I was growing over 38 potential harmful pathogens just from that one tooth and as a medical doctor I know that though I was physically okay at the time of the root canal extraction if I had left that root canal in my mouth I don’t know what those 38 harmful pathogens could have potentially caused in my body in the future. So I’m eternally grateful for that opportunity to have met Dr. Cintron for her to have removed something so toxic in my body and hopefully have prevented future problems medically in my life.

I just want to say doctor is wonderful. I feel a thousand percent better after the procedure a couple of days ago, she got rid of the problems that I had and I can’t believe I feel this good. She’s amazing.

Hi, Nancy. Thank you for doing this with me. I’d love to have you share your story with all of our patients.
I’m happy to. Our health journey started about 15, 20 years ago when we started trying to figure out why we just didn’t feel well. And it started with food and we got rid of grains and sugars and then we’ve been getting rid of toxins like the plastic plates and personal care products and everything. But we still just weren’t great. And then about a year and a half ago, we found out our house was covered in mold, so I tried to detox and it just made me deathly ill and the toxins weren’t coming out. So we’ve been searching for a long time and heard about what root canals can do probably six months ago, and thankfully found Dr. Centron and it’s been amazing. I got six or seven crowns out that were just full of mercury. Who knew that Mercury was in your crowns? And I had two root canals out that were probably 40 years old, and they found abscesses and it was a little hard on my mouth, but I felt good. The very next morning I could tell that just all the injection was gone, and it’s just been an amazing week to know that I’m getting healthier and can still go back to eating those good things and just heal, finally, and go with the detox products. Life changing. Thank you so much. Oh, thank you guys. For sure. A blessing.

I had pain in the nerve area, the gum area, and I went to get a consult about it and the dentist that I saw suggested a root canal. I had read in the magazine a new awakenings, natural, natural awakenings that actually there was an article. That’s how I met Dr. It was an article that she had written on root canals and I still have that book. I went back to that book and I read it and I called her for a consult, believe it or not, I think it was about a two weeks difference between the time I got the first consult and looking her up and I began to get annoying to me, of course, but I got some nasal congestion and I thought, what was this? I’m not sick, I’m not coughing. I haven’t been sick. What is this? So apparently I had mucus coming out, expelling, well expelling through my throat.
It never came out of my nose, but maybe a couple of days later I held my head down to pick up something and it wasn’t mucus, but it was a liquid coming out of my nose. I grabbed a piece of paper to wipe my nose and it was a bright yellow, something very odd for me. I’ve never seen that before. And it was kind of watery type substance. So I called the doctor, made an appointment, came in and they did the whole workup on me because I hadn’t been here and in doing the 3D scans that something else I like about Dr. Centron, she has such up to date equipment where had I come to her earlier, I wouldn’t have had to get that consult because those doctors have all those 3D scan type equipment. But when she had the scan done, it showed up that I did have an abscess and it probably was even bigger than the first one.
Not only one abscess, but two abscesses, an abscess that had been on a tooth that was crowned some years ago. So that wasn’t picked up. Maybe it wasn’t there at the time, but it wasn’t picked up, but she got it. So in actuality, she kind of saved my really, because I know that bacteria travels and it’s very dangerous. The brain barrier. The blood barrier. So I’m telling people about my experience, really amazing. It is amazing. So those are the things that brought me here. I’m healing. I’m told I am healing very well, extremely well. I’m told even though I can’t make out what you all are seeing, but if it’s going to help somebody to understand the dangers associated with a root canal to your own research, I read hers, it led to other stuff to read other. So I read, but I trust her as well. This was not my first go around with her, but it wasn’t this type of this big of a deal. This was a big deal for me and very important because she thought the need to deal with it right away. Absolutely. And I did. And I’m grateful that I did and I’m even grateful to know her. Yes, she is the epitome of, what can I say? She’s like royalty in her field. The expertise that she has, again, the machinery that she uses to do the job. It’s like top dog, really. Top dog. And how
Do you feel today?
I feel great.
Have you had that happen again
Or No? I have not had any problems. I haven’t had any problems. And like I said, my post-op visits show that I am healing at a very fast rate. I don’t know if that’s because I’m very healthy. You are. I guess it’s a combination of both and habits, but I’m thankful to have been here to get those services. And I also think that it’s an investment. Yes, I could go to my insurance dentist, but this is a life investment once the difference in what you’re dealing with, even up to the ingredients that are being used. It’s an investment in life. Yeah, you’re welcome. And that’s how I feel about it.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. You’re welcome. I appreciate it.

All right, Chris, it’s your second post-op. After your surgery, how do you feel? What changes have there been? Go ahead. Well, in the last year, I’ve had a reoccurring urinary tract infection. I’ve been urinating blood problem with my bowel movements and the pain has progressed antibiotics and multiple trips to specialists and doctors wasn’t carrying it. And come to find out, I had multiple root canals that were done 10, 15 years ago that were infected and had abscess in my jaw. And thank God I found go natural dentistry because removing the toxic teeth changed my life within two to three days. After having the teeth removed, the infections started to clear up the pain and the inflammation of my gallbladder large intestine.

Well, I was looking for a holistic dentist, so I went on the internet and her name appeared. I’ve had some pretty bad dental work in the past, so I wanted a really good dentist, and I’m glad I came to Dr. Yolanda, even though she far away. But I feel it was worth the trip from Boynton Beach where I lived.
Okay. I just want to say as his wife that has come with him every time he came here, we travel a long distance from Boynton Beach to see Dr. Cintron, and it certainly is worth it. She’s not only a great dentist, she’s a great human being. She’s got the heart and the soul of a saint. So I would say she is good with her work and good inside as well, and I’m very pleased to be here with him. And I love his smile. And now he tells me he’s never going to stop smiling, and that’s fantastic. I’m very happy. And also, I might add, my granddaughter and my grandson are both in the same dental school that Dr. Graduated from in New Jersey, Rutgers.
Well, they graduated first from Rutgers College. My granddaughter already graduated dental school. My grandson is last year of dental school. And I would love to tell you that Dr. Sunshine said she’d be glad to speak to them and give them a few things of advice. That’s why I say she’s a wonderful human being as well. And thank you for my beautiful, handsome husband.
Yeah, I’m very happy with the job done by Dr. Cintron and the denture, which I gotten out. I’ll be smiling more from now on.

Hi, my name is Gary Miller. I’m from The Bahamas and I’m here at Dr. Trons. This is one of the most unbelievable experience that I’ve had in dentistry, in being in a dentist’s office. I grew up in The Bahamas, and my experience with dentistry with going to a dentist’s office has always been a frightening one. If I were to show you my mouth, which I don’t plan to right now, you would see that there’s a lot of spaces, and it’s because during my childhood years, the experience used to be so brutal and frightening. It’s always painful going to a dentist until I was afraid to do it. So I would sit around and wait until things get so bad, until I had to go. I just had an extraction yesterday. And unlike the extractions I know about where you go into a dentist, you go through a lot of pain to have a toot removed, and then you leave spitting blood with a swollen jaw.
I had an extraction yesterday and I didn’t have to take anything for pain. There is no swelling. And the only reason why I didn’t go to Red Lobster was basically because they said not to do it. I followed the doctor’s orders and just had soft stuff. But the experience here has just been unreal. The people are so friendly. You feel the spirit when you walk in and you feel like a celebrity. Your name is on a chart that welcomes you. Your time of your appointment is on it. You’re never waiting for an hour after your appointed time. There’s always a soft thing for you to have, and it’s just so wonderful because you’re greeted with such hospitality. When you come here, it just makes you feel like you’re home. And one of the most notable things that I’ve noticed is that there is never a rush, a rush to get you in the chair and a rush to get you out. It’s almost like it’s an appointment. It’s almost like a love date. And then the experience of having everything looked at so carefully and then bringing you into a viewing room and showing you everything about your amount and telling you about what is needed to be done in your options, and pointing out anything that is potentially really harmful and that needs to be taken care of. Never had that experience. It’s usually your teeth is extracted and you’re gone, and you come back another time and you get your teeth clean and you’re gone.
There’s no Talk about health, how it affects your body and be a bi partner. I didn’t even know I grind my teeth until I came here. So this place, I would recommend it to anyone. It’s just an unbelievable experience and it’s worth every penny that you spend. So this is my take on this place and I just love it. And this is where I would be coming from now on as long as I have tea in my mouth and when I don’t have any tea either, because that’s a good time to come too.

Yes, my name is Flo Miller and I’m from The Bahamas and I’m in the beautiful office of Dr. Cintron in Fort Lauderdale. And this is not my first trip here. I came here a few years ago because I was having absolutely horrible pain, stomach ache, and I saw every doctor and they couldn’t work it out. And I finally came to see her and she found out what was the problem. I had a tooth that was badly infected and that was extracted, and now I’m in perfect condition. I feel great. And what is so wonderful, I was petrified of dentists, and then eventually I came. And the staff as you would just love them, absolutely wonderful people. They make you feel so at home and you’re not afraid anymore, and you never feel rushed. Most dentists, you go on doctors in general, you feel like they’re on a time zone, and here is not that you come in. It’s like family, family and friends. Everyone’s just so nice. Everything is explained to you. So even if you could be like me who don’t know very much about dental work, I came out feeling like, my God, I can now explain what is happening to me. So if you ever think you have a problem, or if you’re having unusual problems that your doctor cannot find out what is wrong, I really would advise you to come and see Dr. Cintron in Fort Lauderdale, and you will never, ever regret it truly and honestly. So why not? I.

My name is John Holtzman. I’m from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, which is just outside of Denver.
My wife and I are very charitably oriented, and one of the representatives for one of the charities that Lisa Court was visiting us and we were talking about our dentistry interests, and he said, oh, I was just in Florida with another associate from our charity, and he had this emergency situation, and there was this doctor. He said, I think her name was Yolanda. He didn’t even know Dr. Cintron’s name. He said she was in Fort Lauderdale and she did this amazing stuff. She is a rare person from my experience, who is clearly interested in everything, constantly learning. She is very competent in so many areas of dentistry. So she not only knows of these areas of dentistry, but she’s able to do this kind of dentistry.
My story really begins with physical health generally. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis about three and a half years ago, and so I pursued a dietary approach to my rheumatoid arthritis. That’s helped, but I continue to want to do better. And so my wife and I have said, well, possibly we understand getting rid of the mercury in your mouth might be of use. So we’ve been looking at that and we went to what they call a bio dentist. The first thing that a bio dentist and that we discovered from Dr. Cintron when we came here. We want to test to see what your body is compatible with, and I was delighted to do this because I have so many sensitivities to stuff, which is part of what arthritis, for me anyway, has to do with.
If you took the maxilla and made that flat, my jaw was like this, and so I could either chew on this side or I’d move over and then I could chew on that side. I would be missing these teeth, but if I had them or even there was a huge gap on the left hand side, mine, it’s all tilted out. So this is pretty amazing that for the first time in my life actually being able to grip on both sides of the jaw, we feel we’ve got a way more, a deeper solution, better quality solution and complete solution in a way that we wouldn’t have had anyplace else.

Hi, my name is Linda Bernstein and I’ve just started seeing Dr. Cintron for the last several months. And I had a situation where I had a crown in my upper molar, and she said the material was very old and toxic, and without knowing, she said it could affect your breast. And I do have a large cyst in that breast, so I felt it was time to remove it. One of the other situations I had … is my pinky on my left hand was aching me so much that I could hardly bend my finger. And when I did bend it, the joint was very stiff. There was a cracking noise. Well, a half hour after she removed the crown, and also there was lots of mercury under the crown and some infection. A half hour later, my finger is painless and it’s moving without any discomfort at all, which was who would think that your pinky on your left hand was relating to your molar tooth on your upper right? So pretty amazing how God made the body work. So I’m just very grateful to Dr. Cintron and all the work she’s doing for me, and God bless her. I.

Hi, my name is Kevin. I live in Panama, and I needed some extensive work done, and I’m only in the state for a short amount of time, and I knew that the amount of work I needed done, I had to go to somebody I really trusted, which is Dr. Cintron, who was referred to me by Karen. And I had extensive amount of work done, many amalgams removed. And the things that I’m most impressed with is that the next morning I could feel there was no discomfort, there was no pain in my mouth with an extensive amount of work. And I’m just so impressed with that. I expected to have something hurt, but nothing. There was no pain, no discomfort, and all of the staff are incredible. I felt like I was just at home getting my teeth worked on. So the level of professionalism is outstanding, and also getting these amalgams removed. I know I’ve been researching this for many, many years, and I know that the act of removing amalgams, you can actually expose yourself to more mercury than the amount that leeches into your body. So I knew it was really important that I have that done by someone who really knew what they were doing. And since I’m only in the states for a short time, I knew I had to go with someone that I trusted, and that’s Dr. Cintron and her staff. So thank you very much. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Bob Alman, and I want to say that Dr. Cintron and the office here, the office staff, and everybody are absolutely excellent. They helped me with some serious problems that were addressed in a manner that I could not be happier with. The ultimate concern is the health of the patient, and that’s what impressed me when I began to research various things with the root canals and so forth. That’s what led me to Dr. Cintron, and I am absolutely thrilled with everybody here and the way they’ve taken care of me.

First of all, let me say that my experience at Dr. Cintron’s dental office has been nothing less than phenomenal. I found her by happenstance. I was looking because I had a TMJ problem that developed, and I went on the internet and it said, free evaluation for TMJ during the month of November. So I said to my husband, let’s go check it out. And then I came to this office. By the time we finished, we went from TMJ to speaking about my entire mouth, and it turned out that I needed major work on my mouth. I’ve been in a dental chair my whole life. I’ve never been with a dentist who’s actually prayed for her patients. I didn’t have any fear of dentists because I’m so used to it. But Dr. Cintron goes over the top. I have never met a more nurturing, loving woman who’s also extremely professional. And as far as I’m concerned, every person that comes through this door can trust God to be treated in a gentle, tender, loving way. They will be prayed for. This is an experience. It’s an experience just to come here. It would be worth it having a cavity to come meet Dr. Cintron. So I just can’t recommend her highly enough, and I’m very, very blessed to call her my friend as well.

Well, for the last few days, we’ve been following a young woman very close to us through an amazing transformation. Local 10 producer Jennifer Benitez was terrified to even get a checkup at the dentist before her whole makeover started. So the next step, surgery, as you might imagine, was very scary. Jen Herrera is here now with more, Not one, but two serious surgical procedures still need to be done. Now, this first one you were about to see allowed Jennifer to be in and out of braces in just six months. Here’s how Hurting too, doesn’t it? If you think of the jawbone as a block of wood or a piece of stone because it’s mostly mineral, then it’s hard to move teeth through a piece of stone. What we’re doing today is going to change the composition of the jawbone from more of a mineral-based bone to more of a water-based bone.
So instead of wearing braces for the average 24 months, a patient can be in and out of them and a quarter of the time. Then we put in some donor graft material so that the teeth have some place to move into. Not only is Dr. Detour performing the Periodontally assisted Osteogenic Orthodontics procedure, but gum surgery too, Eyelids look like they’re getting a little droopy.
Both are painful. So Benitez is sedated in just a few months. Jen went through a lot, and thanks to our dream team of doctors in that time, her mouth got healthy, she had her wisdom teeth pulled, braces put on gum surgery, and next is jaw surgery Because we think that her jaw is just generally out of place. It’s not the right position for it. It’s essentially lopsided and too far back.
Maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Michelle Matu, also points out her midline doesn’t line up. We can see it here. This creates a crooked bite and smile. Oh,
In a healthy, young, professional girl, nobody should have that handicap. It’s a social handicap. Dr. Matoo performs a seven hour surgery at North Broward Medical Center. The procedure to graphic to show works like this, We open up the gum on top of the teeth and we essentially just bring the jaw Down the jaws, then placed in a new spot, making it more functional, and next We make a split along this way. We make a split in front and a split behind. And really what we’re doing is we’re slicing the jaw, we’re slicing it so we can move it either forward or back. And in her situation, we’re going to move it forward. We’re going to put it in the right position that we want. And as you can imagine, recovering from that jaw surgery was by far the toughest part for Benitez. But there are still a few steps to take to turn this one stent phobic into a healthy, smiling young woman. And you guys are going to see the final reveal tomorrow, right here on Local 10 News at noon. Christine, Calvin. Wow. Oh Wow. But Jen, I mean, going back because for folks maybe didn’t see the very first story, the reason that she has so many problems is that she just didn’t go to the dentist for years and years. Right?
Exactly. Jennifer had a real fear of the dentist for 10 years. She didn’t even go for checkup. And it’s not because she didn’t want to or she didn’t care. She had a real fear for it. So not only were we fixing physical things this time around, but we were also really trying to target that and to address that fear. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. And today we are wrapping up a series that for very giving doctors may possible. Now, if you’ve been watching all week long, a producer here at Local 10 has undergone an extreme makeover. For the past eight months, Jennifer Benitez was completely terrified of going to the dentist, and as a result, her health and her teeth suffered. Well, today we’re showing you the new Jennifer, healthier both inside and out two weeks later, and jaw surgery is still taking its toll. Jennifer Benitez is, without a doubt, still swollen, but she’s almost done. Recovery is long and hard. It’s been about two weeks since Jen got her braces off. In the meantime, she’s had regular cleaning. She’s had her teeth bleach. She even had temporary veneers put on. Well, today she gets her real ones.
Veneers is one of the most rewarding and simple steps that somebody can do to kind of beautify their spine. The teeth are filed down and sterilize thoroughly. Bonding glue is used to make sure the thin laminate porcelain shells from Microlab Dental stay put next, the teeth are hit with a UV light and the excess cement is cleaned Off.
I don’t think that she’s going to ever need sedation after this experience because she’s going to be stable and in just maintenance, she’s going to be alright From Dr. Cintron’s office. Benitez’s final stop is here to the Elite group salon in Fort Lauderdale, where creative director and stylist Henry Amador works his magic Since the look is changing so much and that she’s obviously getting a little bit of a softer look now to soften the hair as well. Next, we’re off to makeup. Okay, A blow dry last minute. And finally, the surprising reveal. Oh, that’s a big difference. A big difference is right. We started with somewhat terrified of the dentist with threatening gum disease and major dental Disfigurations. Jennifer Benitez used to take pictures like this. Well, today she is a healthy 28-year-old woman with no reason to hide her smile. And we have to give special thanks once again to our dream team of doctors, Dr. Yolandas Andron, Dr. Deborah Pere, Dr. Nick Detour, and Dr. Michelle Matoo. They were all such a pleasure to work with the past eight months. And if you’d like more information on any or all of these doctors, you can find it at our find out more section on our web channel that’s Local 10.
